Glove Care
Washing and drying instructions for your HEAT 3 SMART Gloves
HEAT 3 gloves are made to last. With your love and a little care they will last even longer.
HEAT 3 gloves should be washed gently and by hand only. We do not recommend washing leather gloves frequently. If you do wash them use mild detergent and lukewarm water only.
Do not wash your HEAT 3 SMART in the washing machine. Put on your gloves during the cleaning/washing procedure.
Follow the proper cleaning process to maintain the quality of your HEAT 3 SMART Gloves.
Cleaning the outside mitten shell:
- (Heavy) dirt: It is super easy to remove dirt from your HEAT 3 mitten shell. Make sure the dirt is completely dry. Then remove dirt from the mitten shell by rubbing gently with your fingers or by using a very soft brush. After removing dry dirt you can clean the mitten shell with a damp microfiber cloth.
- If you need to wash and rinse the outside of the mitten shell: The 2 zippers (one on the backside of mitten and the other on palm side) should be closed. Rinse briefly under the water tap using lukewarm water.
- Only if a. and b. did not clean properly: Put a few drops of mild detergent into a water basin/sink and make a foam bath. Put on your glove, close the zippers and put the mitten shell into the warm water. Then gently rub the mitten shell with your other hand where cleaning is needed. Finally rinse the mitten shell under the water tap using lukewarm water.
-
DRYING: The closed mitten shell will not absorb much water. Squeeze out water gently, then get it into shape and let it dry slowly lying the gloves flat on a dry towel. Gloves generally dry best in an upright position. HEAT 3 gloves come with a carabiner clasp that, apart from keeping the gloves together, is also useful when drying. Dry naturally your HEAT 3 gloves at room temperature; avoid any heat source, open flames, heaters, tumble- driers and ovens.
Never put leather gloves on a radiator!
Washing the inside lining glove:
-
Do not turn lining gloves inside out!
The lining, and insulation may be difficult to put back into place.
- Put a few drops of mild detergent into a basin/sink using lukewarm water and make a foam bath. Put on your glove, make sure the zipper on the backside is closed. Open the zipper on the palm side. Get out with your fingers wearing the lining glove. Fix the mitten flap with the magnetic button on the backside. Now gently rub and wash the lining glove with your other hand. Finally rinse the lining glove thoroughly under the water tap using lukewarm water.
-

Dry HEAT 3 gloves at room temperature; avoid open flames, heaters, tumble- driers and ovens.
Never put leather gloves on a heat source! When you are outdoor and your gloves need drying simply attach the carabiner clasp to your backpack.
Leather care for a longer life:
Although care for leather is not necessary, we have found applying the Leather Balm to all leather parts of your gloves prior to first use provides additional protection against the elements.
Grease the leather regularly to resist moisture and your gloves will last much longer. Use suitable leather grease or oil only. Moisten the leather only a little bit. Use a polishing cloth and rub in the grease gently until the leather is saturated. Remove additional grease with a dry cloth. Grease will be absorbed overnight within 8–12 hours.
Avoid Damage: Be careful not to damage or cut your HEAT 3 gloves. Handle sharp edges of your skis, snowboards, knives, boot buckles, etc. always wearing the mitten shell closed.
Never handle sharp edges with the inside lining glove.
Thanks for choosing HEAT 3 gloves!
