The liners fit perfectly - not too loose and not bulky. They will give me added warmth on cold days, especially when the temp falls below 0 degree Farenheit. I will use them with the shell.
I plan to use the shell for photography in the Canadian Rockies next year. They fit well and will keep me warm while making it easy to take my fingers out to manipulate the camera settings/buttons. I will use the Merino Liner Pro gloves with the shell for greater warmth. The combination along with chemical heat packs gives me options for keeping warm. I am happy with my purchase.
These allow me to get out earlier and stay longer. I wish I had purchased these gloves sooner.
Absolutely spectacular mitten and a great help with the dexterity. Little difficult to get on and the liner gets wet. Go for the shell and then whatever liners you like.
Good overall glove. Warm enough with the mitt on, the liner is decent if there isn't a strong wind, if there is it comes up a little cold on the fingers.
Very poor design!
My other glove did a much better job than the Merino ones. Very unhappy with my purchase!
I love love love the Wind Pro Liner for my hands. As a photographer it allows me to use my camera with gloves on and keep my hands warm at the same time. Pair them with the mitt and you are toasty warm in-between shots. Excellent service. A pair of gloves was left out of the last delivery and when I informed them and told them I was leaving town in a few days The Heat Company promptly overnighted that set of gloves for me to have it in time for my trip. Thank you so much for all you do. I have been wearing this glove system for several years now and will continue to do so.
I've tried gloves with the "flip-off" tips but froze my fingers operating my camera so I gave the Wind Pro Liners a try and they worked out great for me. So far I've used them for photography when the temperature was in the 20's (F) and was able to operate my camera pretty well. I occasionally had to visually double-check that my finger was on the right button but it was a minor inconvenience - much better than frozen fingers!
Excellent quality top performing glove, the vendor has amazing customer service, prompt shipping, quick to answer questions, love these gloves and have used this line of gloves from Arctic to Antarctica
These merino wool liner gloves are perfect for brrr cold photography in winter at the Grand Canyon.
Nothing is worse than holding camera gear and tripods with bare hands in the cold, these gloves shoulda been purchased long ago! Crack hand warmers before leaving the house, nice and toasty while hiking or sitting still waiting for wildlife to photograph!
I struggled with being able to use the outer mittens with the jacket issued by Natural Habitat on my recent trip. Their jackets’ cuff was much too thick to accommodate the system. Had I been using my jacket, however, it would have been a great combination.
The customer service at Heat US is wonderful, and the liner/shell system is terrific. Best gloves for the cold that I've experienced as a photographer!
Thank you for your review! Glad you like the gloves!
Planning for our almost month-long cruise down the Danube, Main, and Rhine Rivers, I needed a pair of gloves or glomitts that would keep me warm, dry, and allow full access to working my DSLR. After much research, it appeared that the Heat 2 Softshell was the way to go…and, it WAS! They have been so handy for the weather and with my Canon. 6” of snow and 14* in Prague; rain in Passau and Regensburg. I love all the mitt’s features, but the one(s) I most appreciate are the removal loops. Every pair of gloves and glomitts should have these. A close second place in features is that the mitts are made with a substantial ‘keeper’ grommet and utilize a small carabiner for keeping the mitts together. All of our other gloves/mitts have a tiny plastic keeper with a pliable plastic clip that easily allows them to become separated and lost…but, NOT with the Softshell! While not used as often as the four half fingers, the Velcro-secured thumb cover is very necessary, on occasion. The strategically placed magnets keep the mitt part free of interfering with camera operation.
When we found that my wife’s gloves were inadequate for the trip, she did her own research, not finding much in the ‘women’s’ catalogs. I suggested the 2 Softshell, she tried on mine, and immediately ordered her own pair. She, too, is ecstatic with our purchases. Thank you for a great product.
Great gloves with the only problem being the conductive pads are a little rigid. Otherwise fantastic.
I loved them until the velcro ripped off on one of them a couple weeks in, now I cant use the handwarmer pocket feature
Gloves are great! Did not start out an evening of northern lights photography wearing them and my hands got cold. Quickly pulled on the gloves and hands got toasty very quickly. I was operating the camera through my smartphone and needed to use bare fingers from time to time to change settings on the phone but the gloves kept my hands warm for the task!
Purchased these about a year ago for both myself and my wife. Living in the central portion of Montana we have found that these work extremely well both in my photography work and other activities (such as snow removal). Temps here can dip to -20F for several weeks at a time with daytime highs not exceeding -10F. Found this to be very comfortable and warm. No regrets.....
