My Essential Cold-Weather Photography Gear
I use my Polartec Pro Liner gloves when I am actively rowing and switch to the Heat Smart Pro 3 when sitting and waiting for the right conditions. Without my gloves, I simply would not be able to get my shots.

Heat 3 Smart Gloves Review
I tested the Heat 3 Smart Gloves and share my thoughts (good and bad) in this Heat 3 Smart Gloves Review. The gloves I have are the base package for the Heat 3 Smart Glove system. The base layer can be upgraded to merino wool, and an additional hood could be added for extreme cold conditions. However, for most photographers, the basic package would work perfectly fine.
