I bought my THC gloves for a winter photo tour in Yellowstone, where we had an epic encounter with the Wapiti wolf pack. We spent eight hours watching and photographing the pack as they harassed and wore down a wounded bison along the Firehole River. Ultimately, the bison walked into the river, laid down, and died. I also used my gloves for a sandhill crane photoshoot in Kearney, Nebraska, when a blizzard came through. That’s me sitting on an icy road shooting during the blizzard! The photo of the cranes was from sunrise the next morning when the river was frozen—that time, I was in a blind. I’ve faced extreme weather conditions with my gloves, including blizzards, high winds, blowing ice, and below-zero freezing temperatures. They've proven reliable in all those situations. One day, I hope to visit Antarctica, and I know these gloves would be perfect for that adventure. The liners have pockets for heat pads, which is a game changer in freezing weather. Overall, I’d rate them an 8 and would definitely recommend them to friends.
